Which academic email addresses are accepted?

Find out which email domains qualify for Premium Creator for Education, and what to do if yours isn't listed.

Premium Creator for Education verifies your eligibility through your academic email address. This article lists the accepted email types by country, and explains what to do if your institution isn't on the list.

Accepted email addresses

Indonesia

  • .ac.id

  • .sch.id

  • @guru.*.belajar.id

Philippines

  • .edu.ph

  • @deped.gov.ph

Worldwide

  • .edu

  • .ac.uk

  • .edu.au

  • .edu.my

  • A number of other recognized institutions on their own domains

Personal email addresses, including Gmail, Yahoo, and other personal providers, don't qualify. This is true even if you're genuinely a student or educator. Your academic email address is what Twibbonize uses to confirm your eligibility, so it needs to come from your school or university.

A few things worth knowing

If you use a "plus" address, such as yourname+twibbonize@university.ac.id, Twibbonize treats it as the same address as yourname@university.ac.id. You can't use a plus variation to claim a second grant.

Email domains written in a non-Latin script are also normalized, so the same address can't be used to claim two grants under two different spellings.

If your institution isn't listed

The list of accepted domains doesn't cover every school or university in the world, so a legitimate institution can sometimes be missing. If your academic email address is rejected and you believe it should qualify, contact our support team with:

  • Your institution's name

  • Your institution's website

  • Your email domain

We'll review the information you send and let you know the outcome.
