Your grant expires at 24:00 UTC on its expiry date, with no grace period. Here's exactly what changes, and what you can and can't get back.
What changes when your grant expires
What happens | Can you get it back?
|
Your account returns to the Free plan | Yes, by applying for a new grant |
Your Campaign analytics are permanently deleted | No |
Your custom Campaign backgrounds revert to default | Yes, once you have Premium Creator features again |
Designs beyond your first one are locked, not deleted | Yes, once you have Premium Creator features again |
Visibility is locked to Public only for new Campaigns | Yes, for future Campaigns. Campaigns already set to private or unlisted stay that way. |
Ads return on your account | Yes, they're removed again once you have Premium Creator features |
Supporters who join your Campaigns see watermarks again | Yes, this reverses once you have Premium Creator features again |
Your Campaign analytics are the one thing on this list that never comes back, even if you apply for another grant later. There’s currently no way to export or download this data, so save any numbers you need before your grant expires.
There's no late verification
Once your grant's expiry moment passes, the verification link from your reminder email stops working. The only way back is a brand-new application, which uses one of your 4 grant periods.
Before your grant expires
Put your expiry date in your calendar as soon as you know it, so you're not caught off guard.
If you'd rather avoid this altogether, How do I extend my grant each year? explains how to renew before your expiry date, and My school email is closing. How do I keep my grant? covers what to do if your academic email is about to stop working.
